Innovation meets heritage to create new values.


Since 2015, Femmes du Monde in collaboration with Tokyo innovation labo Ninapharm have discovered unique plants microbiota from native Bhutanese plant like turmeric.



The project consist of harvesting the best plants and create a sustainable medicinal solutions while creating new values for farmers. 



In 2019, the government of Bhutan and innovation labo started new trial project to re-introduce such unique Bhutanese microbiota into rice fields with a purpose to improve yields and nutritional value of the rice.



This project when scaled up will allow to create new generation of agritech that can coexist with traditional values that Bhutanese cherish and treasure.
